Our intent was to bring life to the mosaic. The drawing on the left is intending to be a selection of glass that would 

lie bellow a framework. The drawing on the right would be a black frame that sits on top of the glass to bring

 definition to the piece. It would serve both to protect the glass so people could still walk on the mosaic, and 

define the artwork. At the base of the mosaic we wanted to put a flaming torch which would stand forever burning, 

and as a symbol of his spirit.
